\nBorn 1955 in Zagrebu. He graduated at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb in 1979 and since then has been continuously employed there.
\nIn 2000 he received a master degree with thesis ”Residences for Senior Citizens Analyzing the Examples of the Retirement Homes in Zagreb”.
\nIn 1989, 1992 and 1993 he worked in Vienna (bureau ILBAU – G.m.b.H.) and Stuttgart (bureau Laage & Partner and Behnisch & Parner).
\nIn 1993 he opened an architectural design studio, ARK, with Gordana Domi\u0107.
\nMember of HKAIG since 1999 (since 2008. Croatian Chamber of Architects).
\nAn associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb since 2008.
\nMember of the Committee for the registration of architects in Croatian Chamber of Architects from 2007 to 2008.
\nAssistant dean for financial administration at the Faculty of Architecture from 2003 to 2007.
\nFrom 2007 to 2011 – Head of Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture.
\nFrom 2011 to 2016 – Dean at the Faculty of Architecture University of Zagreb.
\nSince 2013 professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb.
\nConsultant \u2013 leading architect of International commission COWI-IPF for assessing the value of architectural and urban project of Cultural and Sports Center in Mostar (WB7-BIH-SOC-05) in 2013 \u2013 2014.
\nFrom 2014 to 2016 -President of the Commission for the Sports Construction and Environment at Croatian Olympic Committee.
\nSince 2014 – Member \u2013 visiting professor of the International Committee UAUIM for the graduation exams at Ion Mincu, University of Architecture and Urbanism, Faculty of Architecture, Bucharest
\nSince 2015 \u2013 Advisor to the Rector of the Zagreb University (for the spatial development of the University)
\nSince 2017 – President of Sectoral Council for Civil Engineering and Geodesy at the Croatian Qualifications Framework (CROQF)
\nHe has exhibited several times his works at solo and group exhibitions.
\nAs a lecturer, he participated at many profesional and scientific conferences in Croatia and abroad.
\nWith the work of education and scientific research that focused on the research of the model of housing for the elderly and the standard model of sports facilities, he is an author and co-author of numerous awarded architectural competitions and realisations of housing, office, health and hospital buildings, sports and educational facilities as well as interior design projects.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Sports facilities are the basic assumption and the most visible part of every sports activity.
\nWith its position, formatting, construction technology, used materials and processes of action and use, they are important element in the impact on the environmental sustainability as well as energy efficiency.<\/p>\n

Comparative analysis of several specific sports halls in Croatia based on a critical review of the project programs, urban, economic and environmental indicators on the reality of purpose and capacity, with consideration of possibility of investors staffing and financial resources in optimal management shows all the disproportion in the application of the principles of sustainability.<\/p>\n

It is suggested, with the application of the required legislation (standards \u2013 yesterday, nowadays, tomorrow), multidisciplinary-integrated approach to planning (development studies \u2013 Sport and Territory, Sport and Health, Sport and Education, Sport and Nature, Sport and Renewal of Society, Sport and City), design and implementation of sports infrastructure on the principles of sustainable development (costs in correlation with the material, time and energy while increasing safety and quality).<\/p>\n
