Dubravko Ba\u010di\u0107<\/strong> Executive board member Architects\u2019 Council of Europe (ACE), Architect<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dubravko Ba\u010di\u0107 is an Assistant Professor at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Architecture where he teaches undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses in project management, building technology and conservation of built heritage. He is a registered architect, practicing as a single practitioner, and also accredited for conservation work on built heritage. His professional practice entails mostly small-scale housing, conservation and preservation of architectural heritage, adaptive re-use and heritage consultancy. He was the responsible author of the first fully conducted Heritage Impact Assessment (HIA) for a WH property in Croatia (Dubrovnik, WHL 95ter), positively evaluated by the UNESCO WHC and ICOMOS Intl.<\/p>\n

He has published essays and articles in Croatian architectural magazines and scholarly journals, and has participated in several EU funded international research projects (Social Platform for Holistic Heritage Impact Assessment (SoPHIA); Confronting Wicked Problems: Adopting Architectural Education to the New Situation in Europe; Bauhaus \u2013 Networking Ideas and Practice (BAUNET). His research interests are closely interrelated with his academic and professional activities, and he regularly presents his research and professional work at the national and international conferences.\n

Dubravko is currently on the Executive Board of the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE, Brussels), and has also previously been a member of the ICOMOS Croatia Executive Board. Recently, he has been appointed to the Workgroup for developing the 2030 architectural policies of the Republic of Croatia (Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets), and has also served as a Croatian representative to the EU Member State OMC expert group on \u201cHigh-quality architecture and built environment for everyone\u201d (Culture 2019-2022).<\/p>\nDubravko Bacic graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Architecture (Dipl.-Ing.), holds a postgraduate Master in Design Studies degree in history and theory of architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and a PhD degree in Architecture from the University of Zagreb.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
