Hein van Tuijl richt zich als Managing Director primair op de ontwikkeling van EPEA Nederland BV, een volwaardige dochter onderneming van EPEA Internationale Umweltforschung GmbH, die zich bevindt in het hart van de Europese Cradle to Cradle `hotspot’: de Benelux. EPEA Nederland is een jonge, groeiende organisatie die, vanuit haar eigen kracht én door verbindingen met partners, tot doelstelling heeft het Cradle to Cradle concept op succesvolle manier te vertalen naar de praktijk. De nadruk ligt hierbij altijd op product- en procesinnovatie en het ontwikkelen van een positieve footprint.
Vanuit een brede achtergrond in Internationale Betrekkingen (UvA) bestudeerde Hein de transnationale uitdagingen rondom milieuproblematiek en sociale (on)gelijkheid. Thema`s waar hij via diverse kanalen sinds die tijd ook over publiceert. Als projectmanager bij EPEA was hij betrokken bij de ontwikkeling en verbetering van Cradle to Cradle applicatietools en methodes en heeft hij deze óók direct toepast in diverse nationale en internationale projecten met bedrijven en overheden. Momenteel geeft hij leiding aan EPEA Nederland BV, een jonge en groeiende organisatie die in samenwerking met bedrijven en organisaties het Cradle to Cradle concept toepast op producten en processen.

As Managing Director, Hein van Tuijl focuses primarily on the development of EPEA Netherlands BV, a full subsidiary of EPEA International Umwelt Forschung GmbH, located in the heart of the European Cradle to Cradle ‘hotspot’: the Benelux. EPEA Netherlands is a young and growing organization that through own expertise and with expertise from a broad network of partners, aims to translate the Cradle to Cradle concept into practice. The emphasis is always on product- and process innovation and developing a positive footprint.
From a broad background in International Relations theory (UvA Amsterdam) Hein studied the transnational challenges around environmental and social (in) equality. Themes he also published about frequently during that time. As a project manager at EPEA, he was involved in the development and improvement of Cradle to Cradle application tools and methods that are currently being used in several national and international projects with companies and governments.

Cradle to Cradle is used to design comprehensively positive economic, cultural and environmental qualities into materials, products, buildings and communities. Materials are designed as biological or technical nutrients.
